More than 7,000 islands stretch across the Pacific Ring of Fire, shaped by volcanic eruptions, deep ocean trenches and powerful forces beneath the surface. This dramatic geology has created an astonishing variety of habitats — and a remarkable diversity of wildlife.

Wild Philippines is a two-part wildlife documentary exploring the natural treasures of this vast island nation. Across the archipelago, animal protagonists are followed through different stages of their lives, revealing how they survive and adapt to an ever-changing environment. From remote volcanic landscapes and tropical forests to spectacular coral reefs and deep Ocean waters, the series showcases the extraordinary wildlife of the Philippines both above and below the surface.

The underwater world is an essential part of this story. As specialist underwater filmmakers, The Jetlagged contributed spectacular underwater cinematography, capturing the rich marine life of the Philippine archipelago and revealing an intimate perspective on its extraordinary Ocean ecosystems.
